This bag features the 1640 satire on Tulip Mania painted by artist Jan Brueghel II (the painting itself is currently on display in Frans Hals Museum). Following the meteoric rise and even faster fall of Tulips in the previous years, many held anger or disdain for those speculators that they felt caused the crash. Brueghel's painting portrays those involved as greedy, foolish monkeys unable to think critically about what they are doing. Today, it is a fun painting and reminder of just how much the Tulip has impacted the world.
